13 mos

Wow! I cannot believe how time is going by-Kyah is now 13 mos! She talks and talks and talks... and sings and dances! When I was getting ready for work she found my necklaces and she has been wearing them lately. She now goes around saying necklace in her own special way...very close to the real thing. She can identify some of the animals in her animal book and say the sound to match (dog, horse, cow, duck, bear). She is very active! She now has 4 teeth...top 2 came in recently. We are so thankful that God blessed our lives with such a wonderful little girl! I was babysitting for a friend of mine...6 mos old...I kept telling her to be nice and then I would pat him. Ever since, when I get on to her she says 'nice.' Too cute! Love that little girl!!

We are so excited for Chastity and Ricky on the birth of their son (9-1-09). He is a beautiful baby boy that weighes 7 pounds and 4 oz. I got to hold him yesterday and he is so adorable!! We are thankful to God that he is healthy and strong! Congrats Chas and Ricky...We are so happy for you!

Outdoorsy Girl

Kyah LOVES to be OUTSIDE. If you say the word 'outside' you had better be prepared to take her or hear her cry. She loves to put EVERYTHING in her mouth and I have to watch her non-stop (the other day she had a mushroom). As you can tell, Gabe likes to mess with her and tries to herd her so we have to watch carefully! She calls all of the border collies 'Gabe.' It is so cute!

Night-Night

Just so you know the pictures and the title have nothing to do with one another!! Just some recent pics!

I thought this was so cute, so I wanted to share: It was getting late, so I asked Kyah if she was ready to go night-night....she said 'night, night' and then starting walking away towards our bedroom (yes, she sleeps in her own bed in our room-please no firing squads) and I thought...'she is not going to her bed'....but, my beautiful and very smart little 1 year old (just turned 1 mind you) went straight to her crib, so I could put her in there...now if she is not very, very intelligent then I don't know who is...

I know I'm bragging, but what kind of mom would I be if I didn't brag sometimes! By the way, my very smart little girl can say all kinds of words....such as: church, please (maybe not the whole word, but I understand), purple, pink, tractor, car, chair, shirt, nana (aka banana), eyes, mouth, and can repeat most small words pretty well! Tonight at church I pointed to a Banana in one of her books and she said 'nana' over and over (she loves those things)! Seriously, I'm finished now! Have a great day!!

1st Birthday

We cannot believe that we just celebrated her first birthday. We had a great time, and a great turn out (around 50 people)! What a party!!! Kyah had a great time....food, BLUE cake (which was ALL over her and everyone else who ate it), presents-lots of presents, and swim time. Seriously, we had a very good time and we appreciate all the people who came and for the gifts. Thanks!
